André Galvão was one of the big standouts at Fight for Faith, an event held this Sunday in Houston. The Atos black belt won seven bouts to come out number one in three distinct categories.
First Galvão beat Carlos Diego Ferreira (Arsenal JJ) in the supermatch. “He’s a tough opponent and I beat him by three to zero with a guard pass,” the submission whiz commented to GRACIEMAG.com.
Next he had another four matches in the No-Gi absolute. The final was against Alexandro Ceconi, who this year placed third at in the absolute division at the World Championship. His win came by way of points, as readers can see in the video below.
To wrap up with a cherry on top, André had another two matches in the Gi absolute. In the decider, he again faced the same Carlos from the supermatch.
“But this time I managed to finish with a wrist lock,” he said in finishing.
