Saying he is honored to lead one of the teams on “The Ultimate Fighter” (TUF) reality show, Wanderlei Silva appeared in a UFC-produced video wishing good luck to all the fighters who made the cut. Now he hopes to meet television viewers’ expectations, when the Sunday show hits the air in March.
“I hope to do a good job, show the world what the athletes they see on TV go through in training. I hope they pick good athletes here in Brazil. I’d like to help in the selection process, see the guys, because often some talent gets away,” says Wand in the video.
The other team will be led by Vitor Belfort, and in the grand finale of the UFC reality show the two coaches will face off in a highly-anticipated rematch. Among the up-and-coming talent on the show are international Jiu-Jitsu aces Antonio Braga Neto (Gordo JJ) and Sérgio Moraes (Alliance), as well as Brazilian domestic MMA standouts Renato Moicano (Constrictor), Reneé Forte (Nova União), Godofredo Pepey (MG Ceará), Rony “Jason”, Thiago Jambo and André Chatuba (Minotauro Team).
