Vitor: “If he tried that kick ten times, he’d land it once. But it landed”

Vitor Belfort, 33, showed himself to be resigned to his loss to Anderson Silva last Saturday.

In an interview with Brazil’s Sportv channel, Vitor said: “If he tried that kick ten times, he’d land it once. But it landed; what can I do? Full credit to him, he’s a great champion. I’ll be back even stronger,” said Vitor, a former light heavyweight champion.

While still in the octagon, the Brazilian thanked his former rival and current coach Randy Couture, hailed his team, and said he wants to continue training in Las Vegas for his next fights.

Due to the success and repercussions of UFC 126, Vitor hopes to at least put in an appearance at UFC Rio in August, preferably against Wanderlei Silva, in a rematch of their historic fight at UFC Brazil in São Paulo back in 1998.
