There are are few videos scarier than this clip showing Officer Sean Hyman being attacked by a violent suspect.
The clip starts with Officer Hyman trying to handcuff a suspect. However, before the officer could get the cuffs on, the suspect whipped himself around and tried to throw a hook punch at the officer. Hyman tried to wrestle the man to the ground, but the suspect ended up on top and punched the officer repeatedly.
At one point, the suspect applied a rear naked choke (or what is commonly called a vascular neck restraint) on the officer, but thankfully, help arrived before the suspect could cause any serious harm.
Knowing how to perform and defend against a rear naked choke can be crucial for police officers faced with a situation similar to what Officer Sean Hyman encountered.
