Video: Watch Paralyzed BJJ Athlete Brian Freeman Compete at NAGA

Renzo Gracie Blue Belt and disabled wheelchair athlete Brian Freeman competed in both the Gi and NoGi divisions at NAGA Myrtle Beach on August 1, 2015. According to Jiu Jitsu Saved My Life, a T-4 spinal injury left Brian with limited use of his legs. His young daughter Katie encouraged Brian to try BJJ since she was convinced they could practice BJJ together. Brian has trained at Team ROC in Fayetteville, NC and has also traveled to New York City to train at the Renzo Gracie Academy. Brian’s efforts at NAGA earned him a bronze medal in the Directors NO-GI Intermediate Middle Weight division.
