To cement her name even more among the strongest srawweights in the world, Virna Jandiroba used her refined jiu-jitsu again and successfully defended her belt at Invicta FC 31, held last Saturday in Kansas.
Her opponent, fellow Brazilian Janaisa Morandin was unable to pose problems, and Virna added win No. 14 to her MMA record. Having dominated round 1, Virna saw in round 2 a chance to notch another submission win.
After achieving the mount, she wrapped Janaisa’s arm and made a transition to the side; then she squeezed the kata-gatame and got her 11th submission win at 2’32”.
