Twice the winner of the World Championship absolute division, in 1999 and 2000, the black belt Rodrigo “Comprido” Medeiros made his competition return last Saturday, August 18.
The leader of team Brasa Warrior in the USA took to the mats at the Chicago Open, held at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois, where he captured gold in both the master superheavyweight and absolute divisions, closing out with his student Jonatas Novaes, who ended up with top spot on the podium.
