UFC 155 marked Junior dos Santos’ first loss in the promotion and the loss of his title to Cain Velasquez. UFC Brazil reporter Paula Sack tagged along and filmed the now-former champion’s steps ever since he first touched down in Las Vegas in the lead-up to the Dec. 29 event. In the video, posted on the UFC’s official YouTube channel, “Cigano” sends a message to his fans in Brazil.
“I’d like to send my thanks to everyone who was rooting for me,” the former champ said. “Unfortunately, though, I lost. I lost to a great fighter, Cain Velasquez. He imposed his game, and it worked well. I blanked in the fight, didn’t put my strategy of imposing my game and going for the knockout to practice. I paid for my mistake but will now train even more. He won one; I, the other. Now we’re going into the third. That’s what I want, another title fight.”
