Valentina Shevchenko is back in the win column, and she’s back with a vengeance!
Shevchenko took on Priscila Cachoeira in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 125, and absolutely dominated her!
The fight started out with a touch of the gloves and followed with a quick exchange. A small flurry then ensued before Valentina took her opponent to the ground, landing in Priscila’s guard. Shevchekno opened Cachoeira up with some short elbows and big punches. Priscila could do little more than try to hold or cover up as Valentina’s elbows continued coming down, further opening up her wound and splattering the canvas under her with her blood. Bloodied though she was, Priscila Cachoeira survived Round One.
She wouldn’t be so lucky in Round 2. Again Valentina took Priscila to the ground with a trip. This time she ended up in side control. Shevchenko worked her way to a crucifix and began raining down heavy punches on her downed opponent. Priscila’s cut opened up immediately, but she was determined to keep going, even if it meant simply covering up.
Valentina ground her elbow into her opponent’s forehead, keeping Priscila’s arm trapped as she pummeled her.

Shevchenko passed to full mount and continued to bring heavy hands down on her. Cachoeira rolled to her stomach, trying to get out. Valentina, however, got on, wrapped her arms around her bloodied opponent’s neck, and locked in a rear naked choke, forcing the tap.
