Coming into the fight as the #5 contender, he made it clear in his post-fight interview that he plans to become World Champion.
To Cruz’ credit, he looked sharp at 37-years old, and considering all of the injuries and the long career, it was clear that he’s still got some serious fight in him.
Out of 13 fights, there were a total of 7 finishes, broken down into 6 KO/TKOs and 1 submission. The only submission came in the Light Heavyweight bout between Geral Meerschaert and Bruno Silva, When Meerschaert secured a guillotine finish at 1:53 into the 3rd and final round.
