Arnold Berdon, who reportedly attacked wife and UFC sweetheart Rachel Ostovich last weekend in a domestic dispute, is out on $75,000 bond after being arrested by the Honolulu Police Department. Berdon, who was originally arrested and charged with second degree attempted murder, is now being charged with second-degree assault which is a felony.
Ostovich suffered a broken orbital and what sounds like head trauma as a result of Berdon’s attack. She was forced to withdraw from her scheduled January 19th fight with Paige VanZandt at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
A judge also granted Ostovich a temporary restraining order against Berdon, ruling that the MMA fighter cannot come within 100 feet of his wife or their 5-year-old daughter Ruby Rose. Ostovich’s petition to the court stated that Berdon “punched me repeatedly on the head, face, ribs, making me fall to the ground,” reports TMZ. She detailed escaping the attack through a balcony in the couple’s home, and states that it is not the first time her husband has physically abused her.
