The “Happy Warrior” is looking even happier today.
UFC fighter and TUF veteran Roxanne Modafferi was promoted to BJJ black belt earlier today. The fighter posted her achievement to Facebook, thanking her numerous BJJ coaches and stating the day to be, “The happiest of my life.”
Currently ranked the #5 flyweight in the world, this latest accolade is only the latest in her martial arts career. Beginning with judo in highschool, Modafferi then picked up BJJ and later became the NAGA Fighter of the year in 2002.
Here’s hoping we see some crazy submissions in her future fights!
