With Montana De La Rosa out of her match against Maycee Barber due to injury, former EBI-Champion Erin Blanchfield has answered the call and will be stepping in.
22-Year old Blanchfield holds an MMA record of 7-1, and is coming off of a win against Sarah Alpar in her UFC debut. This will be the first time that 23-year old Barber has fought an opponent younger than her.
The two are set to square off in a highly anticipated card, which features bouts between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier for the lightweight title, Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Pena for the women’s bantamweight title, Leon Edwards vs. Jorge Masvidal, Dominick Cruz vs. Pedro Munhoz, Randy Costa vs. Tony Kelley, Cody Garbrandt vs. Kai Kara-France, recent Medusa competitor Gillian Robertson, Ryan Hall, and rising superstar Sean O’Malley.
The event takes place on December 11 on ESPN+ PPV.
