Dan Hooker and three-time Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler squared off in a fast and brutal fight in the co-main event of UFC 257.
Both fighters were cautious of each other at the start, with Hooker throwing a couple leg kicks and Chandler forcing his opponent toward the cage as he circled the inside. Chandler threw a body shot, which opened up the opportunity for him to throw a big left hook that knocked Hooker to the ground. Chandler was relentless in his follow-up, and though Hooker initially defended himself and reached for Chandler’s legs, Chandler continued his merciless torrent of strikes, leading the referee to call the fight at 2:30 into the first round.
