The two touched gloves and Burns took the center of the cage right away. Durinho showed off some of his kicking skills with a beautiful spinning back kick and then landed a huge right hand.
Durinho mixed it up well, throwing punches, kicks and everything else. No BJJ yet, though.
Hooker, however, was not hurt and charged in with a one-two. He then floored Burns with a short punch. Durinho wanted to play his ground game, but Hooker wanted no part of it. Burns, therefore, took him to the ground and almost locked in a submission, but Hooker got to his feet.
The two were standing again, but they wouldn’t be standing for long. Dan Hooker landed a hook to the body and hooked to head, and Burns was down for the count.
