Fight week is upon us ladies and gentlemen, and the first episode of UFC 207 Embedded is out.
In this episode, UFC bantamweight title contender Cody Garbrandt goes clothes shopping, makes fun of his girlfriend’s eating habits, and gets a lot of love from his team.
The champion, Dominick Cruz, on the other hand, doesn’t get so much love from his friends. They take a lot of pleasure watching him take an uncomfortably cold dip in his pool and then track footprints into his house.
At least Cruz got some really cool slippers from his grandmother.
But he’s not the only one getting stuff for Christmas. UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes went shopping for a Christmas tree with her girlfriend. Nunes did not want any gifts, though. As far as she was concerned, her gift is coming at UFC 207, when the referee raises her hand and Bruce Buffer yells, “and still!”
Interestingly, the woman who Nunes plans on beating this Friday, former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, was absent from this episode. I guess she wasn’t kidding when she said she didn’t want to do any “stupid” fight week media.
