Jon Jones was scheduled to appear in the main event of UFC 200, which took place on July 9 in Las Vegas. However, two days before the fight against Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight title, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NAC) announced that Jones had been caught in a doping test conducted by the Usada outside the competition period, on June 16. With that, he was removed from the card and replaced by Anderson Silva.

This week the NAC announced that Jones was caught with two blockers of estrogen, Hydroxy-clomiphene and metabolic Letrozole, which is used for patients with breast cancer. The substances are used to normalize the testosterone level and also mask other substances prohibited by the Usada code.

The permanent suspension of Jon Jones should be announced in August or September, and the former champion can be banned for up to two years.
