The UFC has confirmed that a hand injury has forced middleweight champion Chris Weidman out of his UFC 181 main event against Vitor belfort.
The event was quick to replace the title bout for another 5-round match for the belt.
Welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will make his return from a long hiatus caused by a bicep injury that required surgery.
The opponent will be #1 contender Robbie Lawler, in a much awaited rematch.
They fought first at UFC 171, last May 15, when Hendricks earned his belt after a unanimous decision win.
UFC 181 will have another title fight with lightweight champion Anthony Pettis taking on Gilbert Melendez in the co-main event.
