There’s plenty of excitement on tap this Saturday, when 20,000 fans pack the Houston, Texas, Toyota Center for UFC 136.
In the co-main event, José Aldo defends his featherweight belt against Kenny Florian. Although the climate during the staredown was amicable this Friday, what transpires when the two square off in the octagon will not likely be so.
“Whatever Florian brings, I’ll bring double,” said the Brazilian, “When I land one just right, the fight will be over.”
Now the main event of the evening offers the third part to the Frankie Edgar-Gray Maynard trilogy. Who will be left with the lightweight belt, is hard to say, but the official photo of the staredown suggests it will be a fiery encounter. Maynard is the only one who beat Frankie, and the last time the two faced off in the octagon they fought to a draw.
