Tyron Woodley & Jake Paul Reportedly Agree To Boxing Match

YouTube-star-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley will face off in a boxing match later this year, according to The Athletic.

Other outlets have since confirmed the news, though the bout hasn’t yet been formally announced.

Paul himself has been teasing fans with promises of a new matchup announcement, saying in his Instagram stories that his next bout would be “the hardest fight [he’s] ever had, the toughest opponent by far, the most known opponent,” and that the contest would “break another boxing PPV record.”

Paul, who signed a contract with Showtime Sports in May, has been on Woodley’s radar since his quick victory against Ben Askren back in April. Woodley has openly expressed his desire to box against Paul, and now, it looks like his wish will be coming true.

Woodley, who lost the welterweight title to Kamaru Usman back in 2019, has a 19-7 professional MMA record, with seven wins coming by way of knockout or TKO. He and the UFC parted ways in April following four consecutive losses.

Paul is currently undefeated in boxing, knocking out Nate Robinson prior to his first-round KO against Askren.
