Judoka Kayla Harrison has given another indication that she’s about to migrate to MMA. The two-time Olympic champion has signed a contract with the WSOF (World Series of Fighting) to act as commentator and ambassador to the franchise. This was reported by USA Today.

“I’ve been boxing and doing jiu-jitsu and all that, and the biggest thing for me, really, is that I miss competing,” Harrison said. “I miss fighting on the highest stages of the world, and the World Series of Fighting really gave me a great opportunity.”

The contract puts Harrison closer than ever to a likely debut in MMA, but the black-belt, who retired from judo right after the Rio Games, has said she needs at least a year before doing her first MMA bout.

Her first commentating gig is December 31, at WSOF 34 at Madison Square Garden, in New York.
