Tough enough? How about a game of Kabaddi?

Meet Kabaddi, a 4,000-year-old sport from Southeastern Asia.

Very popular in the Punjab region between India and Pakistan, it’s a game of territory where the two teams fight to control the match alternating the “stopper ” (defense) and “raider” (attack) positions.

Here’s an unofficial version of the game, more violent, where slaps to the face are allowed.

Here’s a match between India and Pakistan at the 2010 World Cup.

The funny thing is that Kabaddi resembles the traditional “Taparia” (slap fights), so common in BJJ schools in Brazil in the past.

Here’s an example with Master Pierino De Angelis.

Care for a try?!
