Former UFC fighter and veteran Tim Kennedy will be facing off against BJJ black belt and celebrated coach Dave Camarillo in a superfight tomorrow, and the proceeds of the event will be going to a good cause.
The Ranger Up Classic, a grappling tournament, will feature a superfight between the two BJJ black belts. Proceeds from the event will go to the Orange County Veterans Memorial, which has highlighted the tournament on their website.
The matchup between Kennedy and Camarillo is a great fit for the event not only due to the quality and level of grappling they’ll be able to demonstrate on the mats, but also because Kennedy is a veteran himself, having served in the military while building his fighting career at the same time. He’s retired from MMA now, but reenlisted in the US Army Special Forces in 2017.
Check out the Ranger Up Facebook page to stay up-to-date on the event and match.
