Former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks was no doubt looking to make up for his embarrassing third missed weight when he stepped in the cage against Tim Boetsch at UFC Fight Night 112.
Unfortunately, the fates had something else in mind.

Hendricks almost immediately started setting up for that infamous left hand of his, hitting Boetsch with some jabs then taking a massive swing with his left.
Unfortunately, no one was home.
Boetsch back peddled throughout most of the first round, relying heavily on counter punching and kicking.

Things went a bit differently, though, in the second round. Boetsch faked a right hand and caught Hendricks with a head kick. Johny’s leg wobbled. Smelling blood, Tim ran in, grabbed the back of his opponent’s head, and battered Johny with multiple uppercuts. Hendricks went to his knees, and the referee called a stop to the fight.
What started off as a bad week for Johny Hendricks just got worse.
Winner by TKO, Tim Boetsch!
