Side control is usually one of the last places you want to find yourself on a national stage, but Jeremiah Vance had no problem with at American Nationals. It’s hard to tell exactly when the blood flow stopped for his opponent, but it’s safe to say that Vance’s rubber guard from side control is not to be underestimated!
Vance secured a triangle and kept his arm engaged in the choke as well. His opponent’s arm was limp almost immediately, but no one realized the power of the choke until Vance went to adjust his angle.
