Since his birthday falls on October 8th, it’s a good time to revisit the documentary about his early exploits in jiu-jitsu entitled “The Rise of Enrico Cocco”. The short film provides a glimpse into this unassuming man through the eyes of his friends and Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu who is one of his mentors.
Cocco isn’t as popular as his peers partly because he keeps a low profile on social media. He would rather let his skills do the talking, and that he has in abundance. At 16, the “Teenage Phenom” won the Men’s Advanced division in the US. He won the 2009 ADCC West Coast Trails along with other tournaments in impressive fashion. Find out more in the video.
