The leg lock sunk 20 seconds into a Spanish National final

Rafigaev adjusts the leg lock.

Moldova’s Eldar Rafigaev easily cemented his status as one of his country’s greatest-ever jiu-jitsu fighters at the IBJJF’s Spanish National Championship, held late last month.

His coronation came after an ultra-heavyweight final he fought against Rodrigo Silva. The duel lasted barely twenty seconds, with just one attack taking place after the grips were done. Rafigaev pulled, did the inverted de la Riva, reversed to isolate his opponent’s leg, and finished on the leg with a swift motion.
