Connor McGregor is a mixed martial artist and he is currently No. 3 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings (as of February 2016). He is also the current UFC Featherweight Champion and he has a fearsome reputation. However, many people do not know that this fighter has a kind and sympathetic side to his character. Sometime in 2014, Connor McGregor took time out from his busy schedule to do something truly wonderful for a terminally ill little boy.

The boy, Gavin Glynn, was terminally ill at the time. He was suffering from Embroyonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and deadly form of cancer. Gavin loved mixed martial arts and was a great fan of Connor McGregor. When the fighter got to know about the little boy’s condition, he contacted the boy’s father John Glynn. Connor invited the boy and his father over to his training facility and took time to attend to the boy. Gavin Glynn had a play-fight session with Connor McGregor at the facility and took pictures with the UFC fighter.
Unfortunately, Gavin died of Embroyonal Rhabdomyosarcoma but his father did not forget the touching gesture of McGregor. That gesture was an act of pure kindness. It is also evidence that Connor McGregor has a compassionate side to his character.
