Look out: teenage jiu-jitsu star Mica Galvão is now ready to assert his dominance in the brown belt divisions.
The athlete was promoted to brown belt by his father Melqui Galvão, a black belt who is the head coach at Dream Art Manaus.
Mica, who was promoted to purple belt just under a year ago at age 16, has been one of the top young BJJ athletes to watch for some time now, having developed a reputation for submitting black belts even as a young teen. At one point, he’d built up a winning streak over the course of 100+ matches.
Congratulations to Mica, and we can’t wait to see what big things he’ll do in the future!
