Las Vegas police released a missing juvenile alert for Samantha Lopez on January 6. According to social media posts from Michael and Dianna Lopez, parents of the 14-year-old competitive jiu-jitsu phenom, their daughter has been missing since January 4, 2020. Samantha, her father, and her brother are all members of the Dunham BJJ family, training grappling and MMA under Rene Lopez and UFC veteran Evan Dunham.
Lopez’s grappling titles include two Pan Kids championships, Kids International gold, the American National champsionship, and a Submission Hunter Pro belt, among numerous other regional wins.
Samantha, a freshman at Serra Vista High School in Nevada, was last seen “in the area of Blue Diamond Road and South Fort Apache Road in Las Vegas. At the time she was last seen she was wearing a black sweater and black-and-white Vans sneakers. She is 5’0”, 92 pounds, with long wavy brown hair and brown eyes.
