Then-Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael Feijão stated he would use Jiu-Jitsu to surprise Dan Henderson this Saturday night. But it didn’t happen. Feijão (10w, 3l), who came by all his wins via heavy hands or potent knees, looked to define the bout on the feet, and Hendo could be thankful for it.
With a potent right, Henderson put out Feijão’s lights and added another title to his vast collection.
Nevertheless, the fight was the Brazilian’s up until the second round. In the first, Feijão was close to knocking out the two-time Olympic wrestler. In the second, Dan held back Rafael’s momentum using takedowns, sealing the deal in the third.
