There was a major plot twist to end this season of The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs. Team Faber. The original TUF finals was supposed to feature Team McGregor teammates Saul Rogers and Artem Lobov squaring off for this season’s title of The Ultimate Fighter and a UFC contract. However, Saul Rogers has been replaced by grappling whiz Ryan Hall due to visa issues that prevented him from entering the United States. Hall won his first two matches by heel hook, before losing by decision to Rogers in the quarterfinals. He now gets a second chance to become The Ultimate Fighter on Friday, December 11th. Lobov, who trains with Conor McGregor, won all 3 fights on the show by knockout after being selected by McGregor to come back on the show after he lost his preliminary fight to get into the house.
The TUF finals which is headlined by Frankier Edgar vs. Chad Mendes will air on Fox Sports 1 starting at 10 PM EST/7 PM PST.
