Enjoying his holidays in Manaus and his hometown of Manacapuru, both in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, Ronys Torres did the rounds at MMA event Mr. Cage 6 and Jiu-Jitsu tourney Amazon Black Belt Meeting, where roosterweight world champion Omar Salum had his farewell to competition in the gi. At Mr. Cage, on the 30th of last month, Ronys served as referee, as well as cornerman for his teammates from Nova União.
In a conversation with reporter Arthur Castro, Ronys said his down time is coming to an end, as he has a fight set for November 17 in Lisbon, Portugal. It will be the 27th fight for the two-time UFC fighter, who in September counted two years unbeaten with his win over Drew Fickett at Amazon Forest Combat, getting the technical knockout in just 47 seconds.
Ronys has holds a record of 22 wins and four losses, both of which came in the UFC.
