The Marvel Universe continues to expand, and as such Marvel has confirmed the addition of She-Hulk in late August. In an interesting bit of news for fight fans, Marvel is reportedly looking at Ronda Rousey to play the role of She-Hulk. The series will be coming to the new Disney+ streaming service. (Note: The report does not confirm anything but interest at this point.)
Since leaving the UFC, Rousey has gone on to star in WWE, as well as appear in several movies including Mile 22, Furious 7 and The Expandables 3.
Personally, the possibility of Rousey involved changes my level of interest from “none” to “definitely interested”. I think this is a great move for Marvel if it works out.
Rousey has not had a UFC fight since December 2016, when she lost to Amanda Nunes. With Rousey long gone and Cris Cyborg having just left, the UFC has arguably lost most of its star female fighters.
