UFC Brasilia, held last weekend, pleased the audience and guaranteed a swift return to Brazil. UFC executives have confirmed a November 19 iteration in Sao Paulo, featuring Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 100.
The duel almost happened back in 2014. Dana White announced it, but Minotauro got injured just before the bout, which was cancelled. On social media, Minotouro expressed his respect for Gustafsson, as well as optimism for a title shot in the event of a win — a dream come true, he called it.
Minotouro (22w, 7l) last beat Patrick Cummins in Curitiba, whereas Gustafsson (17w, 4l) prevailed against Jan Blachowicz early this month.
The match-ups confirmed so far are:
Thales Leites vs. Krzysztof Jotko
Serginho Moraes vs. Michael Graves
Johnny Eduardo vs. Manny Gamburyan
Pedro Munhoz vs. Justin Scoggins
Matheus Nicolau vs. Yuta Sasaki
Marcos Pezão vs. Gadzhimurad Antigulov
Luis “KLB” vs. Christian Colombo
