The top teacher at CheckMat in Santos and a world champion in his own right, Rodrigo Cavaca headed to Curitiba for a seminar and, with the help of his buddy Alexandre “Lombriga”, demonstrated a different sort of attack from one of their favorite positions—the 50/50 guard.
The main detail here is launching a surprise attack on the opponent’s hand, grabbing his ankle, and afterwards putting on the pressure.

The attack is a good option for when the opponent tries a classic footlock defense, grabbing the opponent’s sleeve.
