In September, another one of the Gracies will be testing himself in the MMA world.
Robson Gracie Jr. is set to fight Billy Goff at Bellator 246 on September 12, according to MMA Junkie. Gracie is currently undefeated in his professional MMA career, winning all three of his Bellator fights so far. In the cage, Gracie has displayed the grappling skills that one would attribute to his famous last name, finishing all three fights with a submission. His two most recent fights haven’t even made it to the second round, and he’ll be hoping to add Goff’s name to the list of athletes who haven’t made it to the end of the fight against him.
This will be Goff’s second fight for Bellator. The fighter has a respectable 2-2 record in professional MMA, and though he’ll be going into Bellator 246 from two consecutive losses, he proved in his professional debut that he has knockout power.
This card will also feature Neiman Gracie, whose nine-fight winning streak (eight of which were submissions) was broken in June of last year by Rory MacDonald. This time around, he’ll be going up against Jon Fitch.
Here is the current card for Bellator 246:
Main Card:
- Juan Archuleta vs. Patchy Mix
- Jon Fitch vs. Neiman Gracie
- DeAnna Bennett vs. Liz Carmouche
- Derek Campos vs. Roger Huerta
Prelims:
- Daniel Madrid vs. Austin Vanderford
- Ty Gwerder vs. George Tokkos
- Davion Franklin vs. Ras Hylton
- Billy Goff vs. Robson Gracie Jr.
