The first edition of the Rome International Open went down this Saturday at the Palazzetto dello Sport.

Ricardo Evangelista (GFTeam) was the absolute black belt champion.

Evangelista won the Open by beating in the final Alan Finfou (Check Mat), the light heavyweight champion.

Ricardo also won the ultra heavy with a victory over John Michael (Malicia Team).

Caio Terra (Brasa) won the light-featherweight, while AJ Agazarm (Gracie Barra) won the lightweight championship in his first event as a black belt.

In the teams competition, GB took the lead followed by Alliance and Carlson Gracie, in third.
