Fedor Emelianenko lost his last four fights on American soil, but he wasn’t about to extend that losing streak to five.
After losing his first fight in Bellator, The Last Emperor came back with a vengeance, and he focused that vengeance on former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir.

Mir and Fedor fought in the main event of Bellator 198. Their match was the quarterfinal of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix.
Mir came in with a body kick and immediately stunned Fedor with some punches, but the Last Emperior wasn’t going to give up early. Fedor swung with a left, stepped back, landed another straight left, and as Mir came in, The Last Emperor hit him with another left. Mir dropped to his knees and Fedor swarmed on top of him, landing punch after punch from Mir’s back. The referee had no choice but to end the fight and stamp Fedor Emelianenko’s ticket to face Chael Sonnen in the semi-finals of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix.
All hail the emperor Fedor Emilianenko!
