Renzo and Igor Gracie talk with authority about GSP vs. Shields

Georges Saint-Pierre in the hours to come will defend his UFC welterweight belt against Jake Shields in Canada. Anyone who keeps up with GRACIEMAG.com knows what Shields’s coach, Cesar Gracie, had to say about the title challenger.

Now GSP has the help of Cesar’s brother Renzo, in perfecting his grappling game. Reporter Junior Samurai, our collaborator in Brazil’s northeast, made the most of Renzo’s visit to Recife to query Renzo about what he thinks is to come at UFC 129.

While the Gracie didn’t go as far as to predict a winner, he did say with conviction that the two representatives of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu were guaranteed to put on a great show. He also mentioned that his academy in New York has been revamped and now boasts three floors, one entirely for MMA with a cage and all the works, and gave his assurance he will be at Vitor Shaolin’s inaugural Big Apple Open on the 14th in New York.

Check out the interviews (in Portuguese) with Renzo and Igor Gracie taken at the IFC event in Recife, Brazil:
