Renato Cardoso submits Erberth Santos at Floripa Open

On a weekend filled with IBJJF events throughout the planet, the traditional Floripa Open left its mark in Brazil, with some serious talent going at it to score points for the worldwide rankings.
Renato Cardoso (Alliance) was the big name among adult males this Saturday. After bagging the medium heavyweight title with a win over Rodrigo Miguel, Renato jumped fearless into the absolute.
One semifinal match saw him face to face with the always dangerous Erberth Santos. Even with Erberth scoring first, Renato managed to regroup, and eventually he caught Erberth’s arm. Otávio Nalati (Lloyd Irvin) also reached the final, and he decided not to fight his friend Renato.
Cláudia do Val (De La Riva) shone once more. After winning heavyweight gold by default, she found Ana Carolina Schmitt (Team Marcos Cunha) in the absolute final, and defeated her.
