Rafael dos Anjos is off to an excellent start in the UFC’s 170-pound division.
The former Lightweight Champion took on top ten welterweight Neil Magny tonight in the co-main event of UFC 215.
Dos Anjos took Magny down almost immediately with a leg kick, landing in Neil’s half guard. Rafael pounded away at his opponent then passed to full mount. Though Magny did a good job reducing the damage, dos Anjos was in total control.
Rafael was then able to get his head under Neil Magny’s arm and wrap his arm around Magny’s head. Dos Anjos then jumped to the side and squeezed away, forcing Magny to slap his opponent’s back in desperation.

Rafael dos Anjos nearly died from the weight cut he had to endure at lightweight. It appears he has found a good home for himself at welterweight.
