Rachael Ostovich Removed From UFC Roster After 3 Consecutive Losses

Former TUF contestant Rachael Ostovich has parted ways with the UFC, according to a report from MMA Junkie.

Ostovich, who has a 4-6 professional MMA record, was released from the promotion amidst what UFC president Dana White says will be around 60 roster cuts by the end of the year. Yoel Romero was also among the UFC fighters to be cut this week.

Ostovich was signed to the UFC after her performance on TUF 26 back in 2017. She picked up her first win with the UFC via armbar, but her other three fights with the promotion ended in losses. She notably stepped up to fight Paige Van Zant just two months after a domestic assault incident that left Ostovich with a broken orbital bone.

Ostovich was suspended earlier this year after testing positive for a banned substance that wasn’t listed on the label of a supplement she’d been taking. The sanction was set for eight months and retroactively applied to January.

As of now, there’s no word on what direction the flyweight fighter’s career will go now that her time with the UFC has come to an end.
