Quintet Ultra takes place on December 12th in Las Vegas and features four teams representing four of the biggest brands in MMA history. The UFC, Pride, WEC and Strikeforce each have five representatives meeting under some of the most exciting rules in Jiu-Jitsu. This tournament will be broken up with three superfights, each featuring some of the biggest names in the sport.
This comes after Sakuraba’s last highly successful Quintet event that saw the birth of an entirely new ruleset, ironman matches. This time, he’s looking to end the year with a bang after bringing some of the biggest names Quintet has ever seen and one of the most unpredictable brackets possible. All four teams field veteran grapplers from freestyle wrestling, catch wrestling, BJJ and even Judo backgrounds to a format built for storylines.
