Following the release of their updated bracket, 3rd Coast Grappling has revealed their main event superfight for their upcoming 3CG: Kumite 6 event.
Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho will be adding another match to his busy 2020 schedule, this time facing off against Johnny Tama in the gi to cap off 3rd Coast Grappling’s sixth event in the Kumite series.
Queixinho has won both No-Gi Worlds and No-Gi Pans multiple times, but he’s also proven that he’s seriously skilled in the gi, winning American Nationals four times as well. Despite all the COVID-19 cancellations in the BJJ world this year, he’s managed to stay active, competing regularly at Fight 2 Win. This will be his 3CG debut, and he’ll be sure to leave an impression.
Tama, on the other hand, has been on the 3CG mats multiple times, having competed at both 3CG Kumite III and V. He became the first Ecuadorian black belt BJJ world champion last year when he earned gold at No-Gi Worlds, and he’s also brought home plenty of hardware in the gi. This is a great matchup for any card, but it’s especially deserving of its position in the main event on this card.
3rd Coast Grappling: Kumite 6 will take place on September 12 and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
