Logan Paul of YouTube fame is now trying his hand at grappling, as evidenced by a post from Gracie Barra black belt Edwin Najmi.
Paul, who along with his brother Jake is a controversial, but highly popular YouTuber, was called a “monster” (in a complimentary way) by Najmi when a commenter on Instagram asked if he was any good on the mats.
This isn’t exactly Paul’s first time in a grappling sport. He qualified for the state-level Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) 2013 Division I Wrestling Championships in high school. He also had an amateur boxing match with UK-based YouTuber KSI, which ended in a draw.
Paul has been hoping to make it into the UFC for a while now, so if he keeps training under Najmi, we may start seeing him in more martial arts competitions… and possibly a big-time MMA fight.
