Tonight’s PFL 6 finished off with a quick main event between 2019 lightweight champion Kayla Harrison and Cindy Dandois.
Harrison started the fight with a body kick that hit its target. Dandois went for a single-leg takedown, but was forced to pull guard after Harrison shut it down. Harrison battered her downed opponent briefly before smoothly passing to side control and trying to set up a crucifix. Dandois momentarily escaped the onslaught by working her arm out of danger and sweeping her opponent, but Harrison wasted no time in getting Dandois back to the bottom position.
Dandois played guard as Harrison delivered kicks to her legs from a standing position. Harrison then threw a punch from standing that she used to transition to side control, then mount, putting her in the perfect position to rain down punches on her opponent. Dandois’ escape attempts were futile, and Harrison set up an armbar that quickly got the tap from Dandois that ended the fight.
Kayla Harrison was awarded the victory via submission at 4:44 in the first round.
