Paulo Thiago out of UFC Fight Night 27 match with Kelvin Gastelum

An injury has forced welterweight Paulo Thiago out of his UFC Fight Night 27 match against TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum, according to reports on Monday.

Globo reported that the Brazilian fighter injured his knee and cannot recover in time for the Aug. 28 fight card.

UFC officials are yet to announce the fighter’s removal from the card, and it is unknown at this time whether a replacement opponent will be given to Gastelum.

UFC Fight Night 27 is scheduled to take place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, in Indianapolis. The card is headlined by a rematch between former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann.
