Earlier this afternoon, BJJ black belt and top level competitor Paulo Miyao announced his departure from longtime gym Unity BJJ. The news was broke via Instagram and contains no other details.
“Hey guys! Coming here to say that I am no longer part of Unity Jiu Jitsu. I thank everyone for these years together. All the luck in the world for you!“
Currently Miyao has not responded to requests for a comment.
Being stationed in NYC for the past few years, both Paulo and his brother Joao have competed at the bleeding edge of the sport since beginning their training as children in Brazil.
