Paul Nava Defeats Kurt Osiander At Fight To Win Pro 23

Ares BJJ’s Paul Nava defeated Kurt Osiander at Fight to Win Pro 23.

Osiander spent the majority of the match on the bottom, favoring a half guard that Nava struggled to pass. Osiander had a couple of solid sweep attempts from deep half, but was ultimately forced to defend his back in the turtle position and work against Nava’s grips. Nava nearly secured Osiander in side control, but was unable to get past his opponent’s guard.

A brief, intense scramble for dominance occurred about twenty-five seconds before the match ended, but the decision went to the judges, who awarded Nava the victory by unanimous decision.
